You even try and beat us at a drink and you will end up in hospital having your stomach pumped and being given cpr. We have stronger (and nicer) beer to your watered down lager (lager is not beer, buy a dictionary) so we are used to hard stuff. Oh yeah and absithne is, wait for it, PERFECTLY LEGAL in our country, unlucky yanky loosers. The reason the pubs shut early is becouse the english conservitive right wing arseholes (I am very proud not to be english, i'm welsh) up keep an out of date law but thats nothing compared to some of the crappy laws in your country. Anyway drink rant over (had to do that, us welsh take our drink very seriously, although I have to admit that the english are a Sca is not gothic, punk is not gothic, 'oi' is not gothic, disco is not gothic and half of the bands you meantioned are not gothic. Gothic bands are things like paridise lost, my dying bride, type o negative, anathema and other slow, depressing bands. Other things I would concider gothic are Death/black/goth metal, classical music and (European, definatly not american) folk music. Next clothes, I used to be obsessed with make up, black clothes, hair dye ect but now I just wear what the hell I like, why? BECOUSE GOTHS ARE SAD! Goths are sheep without minds of thier own or even a life of their own, they rely on other people, rockstars ect for their dress sense and even their thoughts and behaviour. I am proud to say that I am not a goth but I do enjoy gothic things, which I have every right to. And before you ask I am not a "net goth" I am an ex goth, I went to the clubs and hung around with other goths. I still have the same friends but now instead of doing what they do I do my own thing and believe me I look much better in a leather jacket, long brown hair, side burns, doc martin boots, combat trousers and plain tshirts. The DJ was a fat guy with eyeliner drawn all over his face, and he played the Buffy theme song -- twice. Inexplicable.
